ABSTRACT:
A 6 page paper discussing what embryonic stem cell research is; the US government’s current ban on creating new lines; ethical questions and the philosophies of Kant and Mill. The paper concludes that adult stem cell research should receive additional attention. Adult stem cells appear to respond in the same ways as embryonic stem cells, and there is no ethical consequence as in research with embryos. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
